Course structure comprises of both theory and practical lessons. Lessons are taught in a class-group context. The mode of teaching is in English.

Class size shall be kept at a maximum of 10 students, with a minimum of 5 students to enable a class commencement.

Yes, course notes and workbooks will be provided. Students are encouraged to take a more participative role in taking their own notes as well.

Student must meet at least 75% attendance rate as well as passing the assessment; failing which the student or employer is liable to the forfeiture of the subsidy/grant and bear the full course fee.

While the time frame for completion of a particular WSQ course is not specific, it is determined by the completion of all the modules under the course, that is, the student having successfully completed and passed the assessment for each module.

Students must have the basic literacy ability to read, write and understand in English, and be able to use computer program like Microsoft Words. While the trainer is conversant in both English and Chinese languages, the mode of teaching and assessment is English.

There are specific pre-requisites for the WSQ courses at different level:
- Pre-requisite for ‘Higher Certificate in Floristry Operations’ is the student must have attained the WSQ ‘Certificate in Floristry Operations’.

- The pre-requisite for ‘Advanced Certificate in Floristry Supervision’ is the student must have attained the ‘Higher Certificate in Floristry Operations’.

-The pre-requisite for ‘Diploma in Floristry Management’ is the student must have attained the ‘Advanced Certificate in Floristry Supervision’.

For each module, student will undertake a competency-based assessment that includes oral, written, and practical assessment.

With the successful completion and having passed the assessment of each module, the student will be awarded the ‘Statement of Attainment’ for that particular module. Upon having attained all the ‘Statement of Attainment’ for all the modules under the course, the student will be awarded the specific WSQ Certificate. (Note that NIFD offers modules pertaining to Floristry only. Student to undertake the remaining training modules in the course with external training provider.)

This course is suitable for new industry entrants: individuals interested in pursuing a career in the field of floristry. It is a foundation course for anyone without prior experience. It provides the individual with the basic knowledge and skill to meet the demands of the floristry industry.

This course is suitable for the individual who has already attained the ‘Certificate in Floristry Operations’ and keen to enhance their work performance to a higher
level of competency.

This course is suitable for the individual who has already attained the ‘Higher Certificate in Floristry Operations’ and keen to advance his or her floristry skills to manage and facilitate work at a supervisory level.

This course is suitable for florist seeking a higher skills and knowledge in designing, managing, marketing and sales, IT and communication, presentation and leadership skills.

- SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy [MCES]

Singapore citizen aged 40 years and above enjoys subsidy of up to 90% of course fee, capped at $25.00 per training hour.

- SkillsFuture Credit [SFC]

If you are a Singapore citizen aged 25 years and above, you may make payment of course fees using SkillsFuture credit (S$500). This credit can be used on top of existing course fee subsidy/ funding.

- Singaporean and Singaporean PR enjoys 80% of course fee, capped at $17 per training hour.

- PSEA eligible.

Deferment is not applicable for all our courses. Withdrawal notice must be made in writing to NIFD via email to info@noblemaninstitute.com.

 

Students who wish to withdraw from the course after registration shall submit a Withdrawal Application Form to NIFD.

 

Students shall settle all outstanding bills with NIFD prior to withdrawal. The portion of course fee to be refunded is based on the submission date of Withdrawal Application Form as follows:

• On or after the date of commencement – No refund
• 2 weeks before the commencement of the course - A full refund of the paid course fee
• Less than 2 weeks before commencement of the course - 70% refund of the paid course fee


*Registration and administrative fee will not be refunded.

*Administration fee of S$50.00 will be charged for withdrawal.

Acceptable modes of payment are: Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer/ Internet Banking, NETS, and ‘Pay Now’.

Upon order confirmation, delivery of the item(s) will be completed within 3 working days. Currently, we do not offer overseas delivery.
